It’s safe to say 2020 is a year none of us will readily forget and yet it’s hard to believe we’re only just past halfway through. The difficulties and stressors presented by the COVID-19 pandemic are manifesting in the lives of Australians and people right around the world in such a variety of ways.
Here at AVI, we acknowledge many people are under extreme pressure, being stretched and facing personal or financial stressors they may never have imagined. That’s why this year, more than ever, we want to thank you for your generous donations – on behalf of the communities we support and every AVI staff member who makes our work possible. We are thinking of you all.
We are so grateful for your support throughout this difficult year, your support in the past and for your support in the future.
We also understand that for many of you, circumstances have changed. While you may not be able to support AVI monetarily, your moral support and commitment to AVI’s belief in a more peaceful, just and sustainable world has been felt in so many ways. We cannot thank you enough for this.
Donations made to this year’s End of Financial Year appeal will AVI expand its work in the Pacific, supporting women’s micro and small businesses as they recover from COVID-19. Women who own or lead businesses play a critical role in inclusive and sustainable development, and they need our support now more than ever.
